The Nodachi was mainly used on the battlefield, due to its great length it was very effective and deadly. It was used by Samurai / infantrymen to block cavalry charges.
Today, only a few Iai schools can use such a sword, but it can be a challenge for all Japanese fencing practitioners. In addition, this Japanese sword is also very popular with any Japanese sword collector.

This Nodachi is handcrafted using traditional manufacturing techniques and only high quality materials are used. The blade is 1045 steel. All parts (Tsuba, Fuchi, Kashira, Habaki) are metal.

2 Mekugi: Bamboo wood, Assembly according to traditional methods.
The 2 mekugi-ana are pierced diagonally in the tang. The mekugi are fixed in opposite ways on each side.
Saya (Scabbard): Selected white wood, black grained, curved according to the Sori of the blade
Saya with kurikata at 26 cm
Sageo: Black synthetic Ito (Delivered braided on saya)
